Biography

She studied film at the French Film Institute and then worked for Tunisian television and as an assistant director on the set of several feature films. During her professional career, she directed short films, feature films, documentaries and television series. In 1990, she became the first producer in Tunisia. Baccar participates, in 1989, in the production of El niño de la luna and participates in festivals with international reputation like that of Cannes. On October 23, 2011, she was elected a member of the Constituent Assembly as a representative of the Modernist Democratic Pole and then the Democratic and Social Way1 in the Ben Arous constituency. Vice-president of the Constituent Commission of Rights and Freedoms, she takes part in the various demonstrations against the troika.
