Rahma Benhamou El Madani is producing and Moroccan French director, born in Algeria, in a Moroccan family. She grows up France. Graduate in sciences of the language, Literature and Cinema. She creates a structure of production PLEIN CADRES in 1996. she writes, realizes, produces and often films several documentary movies and fictions. His last musical documentary movie Tagnawittude, 2012. Several international festivals. in 2022 on a documentary film 3ochra which takes place between France and Morocco and Algeria, follows her documentary Du côté de chez soi, released in 2003 co-produced by the Dardenne brothers, and broadcast on the Moroccan channel 2M. In 2012, she participated in the book Les cinémas du Maghreb et leurs publics, Africultures, issues 89- 90, L'Harmattan, Paris, 340 pages, about her work as a Franco-Maghreb filmmaker. She leads scouting and research,For her documentary The People, on the troupe led by Kateb Yacine an works on the adaptation of extracts of his work. This project is in development co-produced with Les films du 22 (Algeria) and Plein Cadres. The project was preceded by a short documentary United towards Kateb in 2019. She writes and develops her first feature film fiction Meilicheng, the good life that happens between a European city and the desert to talk about emigration and exile from a poetic and dreamlike point of view. In 2013 she shoots a pilot Belly dance in Belleville of this same project. In 2016 Rahma B.E publishes her first book, Alone, inked on the ground at Editions coelacanthe.in 2022 she did a short film adaptation 13'.
