Karim Yaakoubi, Tunisian filmmaker, studied clinical psychology. He has been a member of the Tunisian Federation of Amateur Filmmakers since 1997. In 2008 he founded the Medina Cinema Association. He has several short films and documentaries, including Please, a short film that received the bronze medal at the Festival of Non-Professional Cinema in Slovakia in 2006; Fil conducteur, a short film (2008) that won the first prize at the National Festival of Amateur Cinema in Kelibia; Auditorium, Paroles d’une révolution, a feature-length documentary about the Tunisian revolution that received the Jury Prize at Douz Documentary Days in Tunisia and was selected for the Cinematographic Days of Algiers, at the Cairo International Festival of Cinema in Egypt for the Arab Revolutions film competition and the documentary competition at the Oran Festival in Algeria; Passerelle documentaire of 52 minutes, 2017, he received the prize for best artistic contribution at Djerba Doc Days in April 2017 and was selected for the DOCUMED festival: regard documentaire méditerranéen in April 2018 and Connexion, a short fiction film, 2021.
