Amro Ali was born in Damascus, Syria (1992). He graduated from High Cinema Institute in Cairo, Egypt (2016). His short film (Coma) has won four international awards, including Best Short Film Award at Malmö Arab Film Festival and Rotterdam Arab Film Festival. He has also directed shorts and mid-length films including (Coma), (Awakening), (The Visit), (Recovery), (Heart Attack) and (Cinema AlDunia). His first feature film project (Passage) has won Cairo Film Connection's Prize.
