Raya graduated in writing and directing in 2016 from the Mannouba Higher Institute of Multimedia Art, Tunis, Tunisia. She continued her studies at the same institute to have a master's degree in Production in 2018. She directed her first short film entitled "Fares" as part of the Franco-German competition in Tunisia in 2014. Then she made her second film "Rouge sur Blanc" in 2016. This latter represents her graduation project, which was selected for the Carthage Film Festival (JCC). She is currently providing workshops within ISAMM as a temporary teacher while continuing to work on her future projects.
