Biography

A graduate of the Institute of Advanced Cinematographic Studies, he began his career as a member of the Tunisian Federation of Amateur Filmmakers and directed, in 1975 at the age of sixteen, his first short film, La voyante, in 16 mm. Between the 1980s and 1990s, he directed short and medium-length films in 16 and 35 mm, including Blood Ball, Satellite 7 and La Sentinelle et le chasseur. He also directed a series of documentaries including La Nuit du henné, L'Orient des cafes, Thousand and One Oriental Dances and Le Cinéma colonial. He directed the feature films Noce d'été in 2004 and Dicta Shot in 2015.
