She was born in Djerba within the Greek community: her mother, Amirissa Tsambazi, was born in Kastellorizo (Greece), and her father, Michalis Katsaras, in Sfax (Tunisia). She studied in Tunis and later in Paris, where she earned a Master’s degree in aesthetic philosophy from the Sorbonne. At the same time, she performed on stage with actor Ahmed Snoussi, who became her partner and the father of her two children. She then pursued a career as an actress in both Tunisian and international films, as well as television series. She also directs the Greek Cultural Center in Tunis.
